Niagara River Drift Diving
August 14-15, 2010
One thing we should make clear up front: No, you don’t come anywhere near the falls. That fact notwithstanding, drift diving down one of America’s most famous rivers is both exciting and fun.
- You barely have to kick; the water does most of the work.
- Visibility of 30 to 40 feet is common.
- Summertime water temperatures can be 70°F.
- You can find antique bottles and other historic artifacts.
- Don’t be surprised if your dive buddies include walleye, sturgeon, pike and gar.
Many divers choose to camp out on this trip; Knight’s Hide-Away campground is close by.
Space on the boat is limited, and these trips fill fast. Sign up and reserve your rental equipment early.
